What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
Artificial Intelligence (AI), also known as machine intelligence is the use of software engineering programming to copy human thought and action by separating data and condition, taking care of or imagining issues and learning or self-instructing to adjust to a collection of endeavors.
AI can be linked-to Marvin Minsky (MIT), John McCarthy (MIT), Arthur Samuel (IBM), Allen Newell (CMU), Herbert Simon (CMU). They coined the term “Artificial Intelligence harking back to the 1950s.
They explained in a project submitted by McCarthy that AI is "the science and engineering of making intelligent machines.
When these machines perform tasks, it can be likened to a task carried out intelligently by a human. AI systems can learn, plan, reason, solve problems, percept, process natural language, etc. just like humans.
In the next post, we will examine the uses of AI and the types of AI.
